The book of Ruth is a timeless immigrant story about God’s redeeming love. Naomi follows her family to the fields of Moab but experiences tragedy and bitterness. Her daughter-in-law Ruth has never been to the “Promised Land” but by faith follows her mother-in-law to the house of bread as a destitute family. Over four chapters, we see how God’s plan of salvation includes Ruth's family and leads to a "guardian-redeemer" for all of God's people - an Anointed King who clings to His people with loyal love.
