Servant King (Matthew 17-20)

In this series we continue following the life of Jesus as he prepares to serve as the Son of Man who gives himself up for sinners. Through these chapters, Jesus becomes very clear in how He will be our Servant King: he'll be delivered into the hands of people, they will kill him, and he "will be raised on the third day.” (17:22-23). In doing so, Matthew 17-20 teaches and shows us what God's kingdom should be like: a place where childlike humility beats worldly greatness, and where reconciliation is better than unforgiveness.
